This, our
Twenty-Ninth Annual Conference on Avian Medicine and
Surgery, is held during April in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
Each conference is an intensive mixture of theoretical, practical and hands-on
lectures and laboratories, taught in part by internationally renowned board
certified or experienced avian practitioners and researchers. The
2008 three-day program on
27-29 April 2008 provides up to
30
contact hours of continuing education credit.

Sunday is divided into 2 sessions, Basic and General.

The Sunday-only all-day Special Session is limited to
technicians. A Basic Avian Techniques wet lab is included. This
special one-day-only program is
available for technicians sponsored by member veterinarians.

The all-day General
Session is intended to provided advanced medicine and surgery
information and techniques. This session continues Monday and Tuesday.

Exhibitors are invited to display their products and
services on this day.

A reception is scheduled in the Exhibitor's Gallery at the
end of the lecture day.

Hands-on laboratories are scheduled in the evening after
dinner for 3 hours. Veterinarians
who are new to avian medicine and surgery or require updating of skills may
find these lectures and laboratory useful.
