    This Thirtieth Annual Conference of Avian Medicine and Surgery for veterinarians, veterinary technicians and veterinary students is sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic States Association of Avian Veterinarians (MASAAV) on 19-21 April 2009 (Sunday through Tuesday) in Lancaster, Pennsylvania at the Eden Resort Inn and Suites with map

  • Avian Practitioners Meet to Learn and Exchange Ideas  
    A variety of basic and advanced avian veterinary medical and surgical topics will be presented by speakers, many internationally renowned.

  • Reasonably Priced
    This nationally attended conference provides an opportunity to receive high-quality avian veterinary medical continuing education at a reasonable price and location.

  • Practical Topics
    The conference offers practical topics, not only for the experienced avian veterinarian, but also for those veterinarians, veterinary students and technicians just starting or having an interest in avian medicine and surgery. 

  • Lectures and Laboratories
    Besides lectures, hands on laboratories covering basic and advanced avian techniques are always provided. In addition specialized procedures laboratories are planned. 

  • Special Technician Program
    A day-long basic program intended for technicians is scheduled. This special Sunday-only program includes any basic or advanced lecture plus the basic avian techniques laboratory. These technicians must be sponsored by member veterinarians.

  • Approved Continuing Education Hours
    Continuing education certificates for up to 30 contact hours are available for veterinarians and technicians.

  • Registration Forms
    Registration forms for the conference and exhibitors are normally mailed in February.
